Discover Your Core: A Contemplative Workshop for Healthcare Professionals

Join us for an interactive contemplative workshop exploring “the thread” that is the core of each professional’s identity, how knowing that thread can nourish clinical practice and help health professionals flourish, and how it can be misunderstood and disrupted in the contexts within which we work.

The session will include contemplative practices and “insight dialogues” with other participants exploring how:

• Each of us form and name our own professional identities and those of our learners.

• We and our learners approach difficulties, discomforts, and traumas in our professional lives.

• We recognise, cultivate, and sustain a sense of belonging in our professional lives.

At the end of this session, participants will

a) have a greater cognitive and emotional understanding of what nourishes and sustains them as health professionals

b) cultivate and enrich a sense of belonging and sustainability as they face the inevitable traumas, difficulties, and discomforts of clinical practice and teaching
